The goal of Planning for Hope is not only to raise awareness about this disease and its effects on the patients and families who feel largely abandoned by the medical community. In it, Susan interviews some of the most captivating families, neurologists, brilliant researchers, imaging specialists, psychologists, psychiatrists, attorneys, and financial advisers. She has shot hundreds of hours of film and is now working to edit and distribute the final documentary - while she still can.

Help us achieve the funding needed to complete the documentary. Donations help pay for final production and when this goal is reached, will be directed to research.

Donations may be made in HONOR or MEMORY of a loved one or family, or as a GENERAL donation in support of the production of the documentary.

Planning for Hope has partnered with Sonshine Mountain Retreat, a 501(c)(3)nonprofit based in North Carolina, to make donations to the making of this documentary tax deductible. Sonshine Mountain Retreat was founded by the family of a patient with FTD, and provides a quiet place, deep in the mountains of North Carolina, where caregivers can rest and regain the energy needed to support their loved ones. It is a secular organization devoted to families affected by FTD.
